The lineup is ok but the presence of the Pixies makes it amazing. I dunno if I want to go...if the Pixies do a sideshow I'd so much rather go to that.

Basically. Soulwax are 2manyDJ's in full-band mode. Way heavier/rockier/noisier - and cooler IMO.

I might be tempted to fly over for that. I've heard tx are $150 which is pretty steep but doable if needs be.

It's true festivals are rarely 18+, but Laneway Festival is and Peter Bjorn and John are there and I can't go. So just chekin. I'm just gonna look it up now anyway.

Yeah, but I think that's only because it's at a venue, or at least the one in Brisbane is. If it's at a park or whatever, they can usually just give 18+ stamps or armbands so underage people can't buy alcohol.
