After reading through the drum tuning bible, I've found that my bearing edges are deformed.

I have a Mapex V series kit.

Now what should I do

1) Get the bearing edges refinished

or

2) Sell the kit and get a newer, better one.

Also, if I decide to sell the kit, should I sell all my cymbals to get the biggest profit? Or just the ones that came with the set.

Cymbals that came with the set:
Sabian B8 16" thin crash
Sabian B8 14" Hats

Cymbals that I've acquired:
Sabian 18" Paragon Crash
Paiste 20" Alpha dry ride (old alpha, not newer iteration)

i say sell your kit, save up a bit.

save all your cymbals except your b8 crash which you can get a bit of cash from, or i think sualda would take them and make you something for em, don't ask me, this is second hand info i've heard from someone on here.

Get the M Series, M Birch, Or Pro M, they are only a bit more than the V series and they are sooo much better lol.

Yea I'm considering getting Pro M's. What's the price range on them?

Btw, from the pics on the Mapex site, it seems that the V series I have has become the qr series. My drums are a couple years old.

I say you get a yamaha stage custom advantage, but that's just my opinion. Just don't forget to try the kit out before buying it!
