Dillinger are awesome, but Burt and Pixies they get their dick sucked enough by scene kids, you don't need to do it as well.

11-30-2006, 08:01 AM
Well it is the AM man, I don't catch jokes that easily when I'm still waking up. And what the hell happened to you being a mod?

Yeah but actual modding in here ends up in the mod getting flamed forever, so I understand.

This is true, which just goes to show how pathetic a lot of the users in here are
But you get a lot of kids in hardcore so go figure, I post in the emo thread most of the time since most of the people in there are a bit more mature

I wasn't aware you were spying on my hair but who knows, you are the hardcore fashion internet detective apparently
I remember your little green avatar with your gay little haircut.
SubtleDagger
11-30-2006, 09:08 AM
I'm sure you can do better than that, I thought you were the expert at trying to find as many things about a person you think they'd be ashamed about as you can
But then, I don't go to art school, my balls dropped a long time ago and you don't even know what my hair looks like, so I guess you don't have much to work with even from your 9-to-5 working, adolescent hairdressing perspective
Your displays of class in the face of insults have truly shown your superiority.
Maybe, just maybe, someday, we can all be as grown up as you.
SubtleDagger
11-30-2006, 09:13 AM
There's not a lot of hope for you but the rest of the forum stands a chance XD
Also I'm not really trying to be classy, your insults just aren't very good :|
I'll never insult another human being as long as live.
Thank you, Burt, thank you.

did you win a contest to earn your avatar?
SubtleDagger
11-30-2006, 02:49 PM
I earned mine by modding the site for two and a half years, and it's not getting changed since I don't do it anymore
Someone's a bit too concerned with holding a grudge over a little image under their username
bottlerocket
11-30-2006, 03:46 PM
I had a contest and Burt won it.
It's called "See if you can put up with all the bullshit the idiotic users on this site throw at you for at least a year." If you playand last, you get an avatar. You need to mod site-wide and have delt with problem users on multiple occasions, not to mention them getting involved in your personal life because they have none of their own so they decide to prank call your house.
Burt won so I gave him a big avatar and, since he's done more for the site than basically all of you combined times a thousand, he gets to keep it.
Any questions? No? Good, because I'm not answering any.

Since people are actually talking about Dillinger anyway I think they were great on Calculating and Irony and kind of annoying on their last album even though it was good in spots
In other words I agree with almost everyone who likes them probably
Calculating was pretty decent.

To respond to the thread:
I liked Dillinger Escape Plan's Calculating Infinity, and Under The Running Board was good, as well. I didn't so much appreciate Miss Machine. It was just incredibly boring, and I didn't enjoy it as much as the last two I mentioned. Their self-titled was alright, but I didn't enjoy that much, either. Also, I haven't listened to Irony Is A Dead Scene in a while, so I don't remember whether I liked it apart from "When Good Dogs Do Bad Things." I didn't even bother listening to Plagiarism since it consisted of cover songs with the exception of "Unretrofied," which was a radio edit.
I heard that they are going to go back to playing like that of Calculating Infinity, which will definitely be a good thing, if it happens.
Dillinger Escape Plan definitely puts on a great live show, though.

I can play the clean "jazz" section in 43% burnt but yeah, that's not too hard compared to that sweeping section at the start of the song. But the 'Running Board' is probably their best song.

hes got some funny ideas. like s'hitting in towels and throwing it it in the crowd. he also belives that everyone should have the right to kill another human being. his example was being cut up in traffic, he should have the right to shoot the driver who cut him up. and then theres that whole story of cursed bass players. musically though, they are damn good.
I have all their albums.
I like Calculating Infinity but Miss Machine not so much anymore.

My friend Nick is the best guitarist my age I've met (he's 18 or 19). He tabbed out and can play everything on every Dillinger album, I'm pretty sure; if not everything, I'd say at least 50% is perfect, 70% is basically perfect.
He can trem pick your face off and his feel for jazz is insane. He's working on the theory behind Coltrane's Giant Steps.
Yeah, he's that good at music.
pixiesfanyo
12-05-2006, 01:37 AM
Giant Steps isn't that hard of a song..
Plus DEP's insanity is more about rhythm like it's easy to play fast, but they way they play fast is so nonsensical.
You know this though.
