Is my favorite song from Defiance Ohio.
Who I have recently fallen in love with again. Seriously, I don't know why I stopped listening to them, I mean. This stuff in my opinion really defines Folk Punk.
And really the reason why I still listen to Punk.
I pray to whatever's up there they make a new album, or I see them live before they all die in a train wreck or something like that.
Or make an Indie album.

Yeah it's a really great song. The Great Depression is a fantastic record. I can't wait till they put more stuff out and I see them and stuff.

Why on earth would you want them to change sounds to indie?
I remember when this song was released I listened to it a lot.

He wants to see them before they put out an indie record. He DOESN'T want them to be an indie band.
I saw them for 3 dollars at a local record shop. I was right up front, and it was an amazing show, where I got to be surrounded by my friends, all screaming the lyrics. My only complaints are forgetting my camera (which was supid, because I only lived about two blocks from the venue), and that the set was too short.
This band is great. Two pretty solid albums, and the stuff on the splits are good, too.

I love Defiance Ohio! I wnet to see them at an anarchist house in Detroit once, it was really cool. They talked about politics but not in a "George Bush Sucks!!!" type of way.

Hey I've been listening to them a lot lately too. My favorite off The Great Depression is Condition 11:11. So so good. I really enjoyed the female vocals throughout the new album, she has a really nice voice.

Man, I can turn on Great Depression and just listen to it all the way through and not even realize it.
And the Indie thing was referring to Against Me!

Against Me! never made an indie album. SFAFC wasn't indie.

What the hell does "make an Indie album" mean? That's stupid. Shut up.
I saw Defiance, Ohio at a house show before they were famous.

I agree, indie is probably one of the broadest genres anyway, so no crap if they accidentally made an indie record.
I do like Defiance, Ohio though, very much actually.
They dont really get up to canada though :(

The Great Depression is great, but I find they get a little too preachy in the political sense sometimes (i.e. songs like "New World Order" and "Lambs at the Slaughter")

New World Order kind of bothered me at first but now I love it.

I think I do like the Great Depression more.
Mostly because they sing a little bit better there than on share what ya got.
The vocals are the only thing that bothers me about this band. They write awesome melodies. And don't get me wrong, I have nothing against voices that aren't sounding perfect, but sometimes especially on SWYG the vocals are terrible. "Old dead Tree" is sooo out of key.
