Not actually in the jail cell...it was while they were getting all my info and stuff, preppin' me for the jail cell. You get 5 minutes of phone time before they toss you in...

I never knew that wasted and drunk were not synonyms.

Jail is usually local where you are held at the time of arrest. Prison is usually where you go after you have been sentenced, usually on the state or federal level. But they're used interchangebly a lot.

almost. i was way too drunk and driving and ended up in a ditch and I don't know how i got there or how i was still alive, but next thing I know there are about seven police care and I never was able to figure out how many cops all surrounded around my car, getting it out, asking me why my eyes were bloodshot, etc, and I had to ride in the cop car to get to my boyfriend's and i should have gone to jail because i was way over the legal limit, driving, underage, and cursing out the cops as i declared that cops are the most dangerous group of people what with being working class people who work in line with the oppressors.

Me and my friends used to make jungle juice in big 2-liter bottles and pass it around the transit center all afternoon. Now there's so many cops around town that you can't even walk down the street drunk without getting a D.U.I. and your license taken away.

I've done my share of weekends for stupid crap.

I will say I was generally petrified of spending the weekend. Central bookings at 161st and Grand Concourse will do that to you. Pretty much fight all weekend, even for a seat. If you're wearing a decent pair of sneakers, expect to not leave with them. If you have money in your pockets? Yeah. Say bye to that too.

Needless to say when I became legal I stopped doing childish nonsense.

I don't get caught for stupid crap, and I've never done anything warranting anything more than a night in the cell.

I have been in situations that I was the only one that didn't have a criminal record... am I cool now?

Also, here we don't throw people in jail for being drunk, unless you start a fight. ^_^
