k so i recently found a good ds-1 mod and wanted to do it to mine (did it to my guitarists' for a day), but mine won't work anymore. http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=15602 <<<mod
i have a feeling it has to do with my input/output since i recently had my ds-1 in my strat, but i'm not sure since i've tried every combination of wires to jacks.
my guitarists' ds-1 wiring goes like this:
yellow- to small (stereo) prong in input jack
black (9v)- same as yellow
grey- ground on input jack
white- normal sized jack on output
brown- normal sized jack on input
the LED, which i've been using to check to see if the pedal works when a cable's plugged in works, as i checked it directly to the 9v (with the resistor of course), so i know the LED's not burnt out; i also have the ds-1 plugged in to my amp and bass and i get nothing but hum and hiss, not even a clean signal.
also, i recently took out the DC jack to try to put it in my big muff, but decided to just buy a new one and put the DC jack back in the ds-1, but i had the same hum/hiss effect even before i put it in.
what could possibly be wrong?
i'll gladly take pics for those who need to see what's going on.
