so for the past month or so i have had comething but i wouldnt have another, like i had a 12" wuhan china, but no mount. a 16" floor tom with no head. well i went down to a music store to spend my portion of a dift certificate for winning battle of the bands, and at last my kit is complete. although one more thing id like to have is an meinl byzance 18" medium crash up to the right of my 18" wuhan china. : )

What do you make of the Z Custom ride? I have a rock crash and love it, everyone on here hates it but its really nice IMO.

You definately have one of the most unique tom layouts I've ever seen. I would say setup, but the kit reminds me of landscaping. Amazing cymals and drums though, man, CONGRADULATIONS!

i love the z custom ride, i think it gives me a good rock/metal sound that im looking for, and the whole cymbal cuts through the music just enough, not enough to over power anything, but enough to be heard clearly, i think its great. im not SUPER fond of the other z customs, they all sound so dark, and i like bright sounding cymbals.

I wouldn't go for quick beats personally. Too harsh for intricate snare/bass/hat work and also abit over-bearing for swing.

i tried em at a shop and loved them. i thought they had a nice "swish" sound to them.

Nice that you fixed that splash angle.

Looks swish now, the 3 rack toms arent my thing but its all cool.

Nice kit! I love the finish. And that bass drum skin looks awesome. I should get that Tama Logo tattoo'd on my arm! (Black and red) I think.

I noticed you are using ''Evans Heads'' I have some Remo Coated ambassadors but am thinking about maybe using ''Evans'' Skins for my next gig. What would you say is best to do? Keep with the ambassadors, or switch to Evans. I have heard such good things about Evans.

Makes no difference really. I use evans but remo are just as good.

I could never reach that back floor tom. But if you can, it's a nice looking setup.

Fair enough. I did notice My remo skins and the evans skins looks extremely similar in appearance. Do your evans kinda feel rough to rub your finger along like the remo? kinda like fine sandpaper...

By any chance do you play metal? Cos that's the sort of set-up im looking for but going for 10", 12" and 14" over the bass drum. And I play metal.

hey

I can't say I really like the floor tom layout at all. I find it hard to reach my second floor tom, so I'd imagine that third would be even more difficult to reach, let alone fit into fills, but meh.

I like your resonant head a lot, I assume that's the name of your band. Very slick.

hey

yah All Due Respect is the band name. and i dont know i find easy-ish to reach the tom. i fit it into a lot of my fills

Dude, interesting tom set up! But I can definitely dig. Diggin' the bass reso. ;) Some great cymbals too.
