I don't know if this is the place for it, but I've been to the Metal/rock forums, and they got pissed off that I mentioned it, then I went to punk under hardcore/emo and everyone kept complaining that these guys weren't either of them, and then directed me to here. So if nobody in here likes these guys then I guess theres no place for them. So...does anyone?

The fact they made a crappy chick flick movie of the same name makes this band, in my opinion, crappy.

I dunno 'em, could you provide a link to a myspace/purevolume or something like that? I'm interested, I'm just too lazy to go looking.
(People in here are usually pretty accepting to outside genres, so this is probably the place for 'em, haha.) :thumb:

Yeah, that does suck, but they can't do anything about it. They named their band before the movie came out.

They should've done the smart thing and sued the film company.

the smart thing to do would be to write their own music and not just rip everyone else off. absolutely wank christian metalcore.
the reason they dont belong anywhere in the forums is because they are **** and no-one is stupid enough to like them.

i saw a video of these guys on youtube. it featured them with modeify the pronunciation on it the background. it was all live pics clipped together and basically featured bandana-bon-jovi-core kids hardcore dancing. either way they are one of the most musically inept bands ive ever heard. the keyboard player plays like three notes. it f'ucking sucked. and the whiny *** singing. either way i sat through it for the novelty factor. they should be thrown in the same bin as bring me the horizon.

They named their band after the book came out.
durrrrrrr
there's not enough -core part of the metalcore for me to like them
at least with other crappy generic metalcore bands i can enjoy the breakdowns

I know, I was only saying that they named it after the book, before the movie named it after the book.

That makes no sense.
"I'm asking what you guys think of them, but I don't really care"
I liked them better when they were called Haste The Day.

Actually, it means I asked a question, but I don't REALLY give a **** what your answer is, "just wondering". It's called curiosity. Where did you get haste the day from.

Haste the day and TDWP sound nothing a like really. I mean I can see if you don't listen to this kind of music at all you may see them to be very similar but once you get into it you can see lots of differences. To me, punk sounds like punk and it all sounds the same, but thats only because I havn't taken the time to look closer at it and see the differences.

i used to listen to this type of music but thankfully i grew up and realised it was wank. im sure you will too. serious they are horrendous, the amount of times you can play a palm muted open c followed by a few dischord notes does not translate to how good a song is. having a keyboardist who can play like three notes does not make them inivative, experimental or any other tag you may be falsely inclined to give them.
do yourself a favour and listen to somehting good and/or stop making threads about the **** you listen to now.
plus no-one is impressed by your false attempt at being macho, claiming you dont give a **** what we think. everyone can see through, stop acting like a little kid. next youll be threating to get your 6ft 5", 25 year old brother to beat us all up :p

I have no problem with this style of music, but a lot of bands do it much better than these guys.
And, with that being said, this thread is going nowhere.
