Has anyone here listened to "Forced Entry"? A Thrash metal band that seemingly appears to have been out of place for their time in the Seattle music scene in the 80's. I have lived near Seattle most my life, im 21 and missed out on the scene till pretty much right after Kobain died. Anyways, **** nirvana, there were some good bands like Melvins, Tad, mudhoney, etc.....So I just listened to a track titled "Bludgeon" from FE first album, damn It was better than I thought it would be even though after reading nothing but positive reviews about the band and how underrated they are. Any one on here see their shows in the day? I read they were well known for being partiers and really ****in thrashing **** up!

Pretty boring if you ask me. Really average. Listen to Dark Angel instead.

yeah, I'll check them out. I actually got into thrash in hte last 6 months and I've got more than 7 Slayer albums already, they are by far my favorite, or my favorite band of all time so far! I was hooked to slayer like no other band, I would get an album go home and just pour over all artwork, listening to each album on the headphones till increasingly my 5 disc cd changer is usually filled with 4-5 slayer albums and rarely 3.

Look up the Titans of Thrash thread. Everyone that regularly goes in there can recommend you all sorts of good thrash.

Threadstarter you need some Razor, early Sepultura, Overkill, Exodus and Sacrifice.

As for Forced Entry, the name is familiar but I don't really intend on checking them out.

Alright. Thanks for the recommendations every one. ****in sweet avatar apoc.raids. I love trash so far from what I've heard/ It's ****in awesome, got that punk edge, in a more metal type tone. It's ****in kick ***. While I was younger in the middle school years I listened to the pop punk **** like greenday, offspring, nofx, mxpx, anti-flag, etc, did'nt get into it hardcore cuase I was still young and finding my place....then I found metal and I knew metal was the ****ing ****!!! So that's why I love thrash it's got that punk edge, it's better, and ****, I can't explain it! oh, PS.....**** METALLICA they ****in poser thrashers! and you could only call their early stuff "somewhat kind of thrash but more like they are a bunch of pretentious assholes trying to be great and they're a bunch of ****in gay *** pussies who play for the money and not the song!" **** em.

The only song I've heard is Bone Crackin Fever, and I can't say that I was very impressed, to me it resembled a bad rip off of Anthrax. However, if you want more info i'm sure somone in the Titans of Thrash thread can give some better insights.

I don't know man, the ending bass line of that song...I've never even heard anything like that from my favorite band...."SLAYER!" not to mention, I hav'nt heard a bass riff like that from Anthrax as well..... it's just funky and weird. First time I heard it, I had made a cd of some of their songs including bone cracking fever, I was listening to it while driving to work, just getting off the freeway, I heard that little weird riff, im like, holy ****! I hav'nt heard a metal band quite play something like that.......! I had to rewind and listen to it several more times before I started to over indulge into it and even then, I never quite did!
