I hear a lot of talk about Metronomes. But dont know what they are. Can somone please tell me about them?

metronome is an essential tool which is crucial to improve a musicians timing. There are many different metronomes out there but they basically do the same things some just have more features.

oh... wow...

a metronome keeps time 100% perfectly an accurately. you change the tempo or beat for what you're playing.

the units of time are beats per minute (bpm)

80 is slower like a heavier groove
120 is moderate
170ish and up is like faster

online one, you can see what it does, although that is a very basic one, like tim said, others will have different features

It's as simple as looking on either of those two sites. Dr. Beat is a reputable metronome for drummers and I suggest buying one immediately to perfect your time.

Go google "wierd metronome". It's a metronome program for your computer. I work on my practice pad next to my computer, so it works well for me then.
