Right as you can guess from the title i am lookin at relatively cheap 6ers, also i am a Peavey whore so thats the brand i am looking at.
After alot of looking i have narrowed it down to two options:

Peavey Fury VI from ebay, currently £160+30p&p

Peavey Grind BXP NTB 6 from Thomann for £260 (rather than £350)

http://www.thomann.de/gb/peavey_grind_bass_ntb6.htm

main diff, Fury has active EQ but only 20 frets, Grind has 24 frets but passive EQ, though it does have a beautiful natural finish

what would you guys go for???

I hate the lack of frets on the fury series. I say get it anyway though, cause it's cheaper and has better electronics.

but electronics can be changed, frets cant

I don't like changing those kind of things personally. I also think the finish in the grind is kinda meh. But that's just me. Wait for other opinions. :thumb:

tough.... good electronics w/few frets vs. meh electronics w/many frets....

i'd say go with the Grind.

hmm, i am swayed towards the grind, it also gives me time to save rather than have to pay back my dad
