My mom sais shed take me to Guitar Center tomorrow for a birthday present. This is the first time she has offered to this, so i was kind of surprised, and I'm kind of undecided as to what to get.
the stuff im looking at is
1. pearl ICON curved rack-i have a 4 piece kit with 9 cymbals and i plan on expanding sometime next year, and i will also have to start moving my kit, sincei just joined a band, so i figured this would be useful
2.pearl eliminator remote hihat stand-i already have two pairs of hats, and i like the convienience of being able to play a second pair of hats open and closed. the problem is, i play open handed so i dunno how much ill actually use this
3.pork pie amber piglite snare-played one over the summer and i loved it, i think it would be a great snare. i already have a decent main snare though (ludwig supraphonic)
4.loud metronome-would be useful for practicing EVERYTHING, but i have a metronome on my computer so im not sure if buying one is necessary since i have one already
any advice/suggestions would be great!

I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have a portable metrenome. I just don't know.

^but they're by far the best. i too would go rack, because you can always plug a metronome into iso headphones, and you're current snare kicks ***, so you can probably stick with just that for a while

^^^thats what i figured now
my mom just told me that the rack is too expensive for her so im probably gonna pick one up used around christmas
she says the most shell spend is $200 USD so im kinda leaning toward an 18" sabian AAXplosion crash now
thoughts?

Well you should get a mtronoe, or at least some iso headphones so you can hear your current one. Something along those lines..

Think ahead too, heads, sticks, books, etc...

yeah that seems to make sense...so maybe the crash and headphones
i have all the books i need though, i have stick control, a book of rudiments, and drum germs, so im ok there
i do need a new snare head though

Wow I murdered Metronome...

Even just some Gun Muff's over Ear Buds tends to work.

Heads and Sticks are ALWAYS useful.

If you have a particular stick you really enjoy, grab a brick of them. I get my VicFirth 2B's for $55/brick (lil lessin other shops), but that's 12 pairs, $4.50/pair.. great deal! All stick models can be purchased in Brick or Case quanities.

Case has 18 bricks? *funny look*

Not sure, it's a lot. Bout how many bricks fit in a typical xeorx box. I think it's 3 rows of 3 high.

*think*

Only once purchased a case. Was for a tour, couldn't tell ya how many were there in the start. Think I thew more off the stage then broke though.... hahahha

haha well, it being a case, that would imply to me that it has a hell of a lot of sticks, i personally take about 6 or 7 months to go through a 6 pack of sticks, but i could definatly see where a case would come in handy on a tour

then i used that $20 to buy an 18" sabian AAXplosion crash
$120:cool:
im pretty happy, and i learned ill be buying the rack for christmas with b-day money and christmas money combined
