I thought I'd post some updated pics of my kit(not that I post many anyways). For those of you that helped me with setting up my chad smith snare into a timbale, thanks, it worked out great! I just took off the bottom head, put a clear amb. on and cranked that sucka up! It sounds killer when I rimshot it. Anyways, here they is:

Here's the "timbale" in all its glory, next to my hihats.

Newest addition to my cymbals, 19 inch AA Rock Crash, it replaced a vault crash, a little on the thick side but it's growing on me.

Thats a sick kit, but IMO you need to set it up better...
If i was you, i'd...
Bring your smallest floor tom closer to your thigh and push the lowest floor tom forward and towards your leg a bit
And move that splash somewhere else and put your hi-hats as close as your leg will allow comfortably to your snare.
Just as long as you bring in your lower toms and hi-hats your set will feel, play and look a hell of a lot better!
One of my favourite tama finishes :thumb:
Post some pics if you take my advice

Is that the dark cherry fade finish? Because if it is, thats the finish i'm definatly getting on my performer!
Aren't your toms on the right a bit high, or is it me?

Sorry it took me so long to reply, to answer your questions I've had that CS dot on for a while now, I think I'm gonna try out the new EC2 power dot head, I heard it on starclassic snare at GC and it sounded pretty cool.
Austin thanks for the tips, I did move my hihats closer and switched the splash to the other side, plays pretty comfortably. The floor toms are a little harder 'cause they have to stay in a certain spot or I cant open my closet, but I'll try and adjust them a bit. CasB, they feel good, I'm a pretty tall guy so I sit high.
Yeah its the dark cherry finish, I love it, best part is I got it used for $1000 but it had never been played, talk about a deal.
Thanks for all the compliments and tips guys!

So if i take my snare, remove the reso, and tighten the head up, it'll sound like a timbale?
