Hey guys. I used to check this forum out once in a while...But then my regular forum shut down temporarily, so I signed up here, and I got hooked here...I love this forum..Alot of members with sweet drums, and alot of discussions..The only problem with this is that there are alot of arguments, but I can deal with it! :thumb:

Ill tell you guys a little bit about myself. My name is Adam, I live in Canada. I am 17, turning 18 on Valentines day. I'll be playing drums for 2 years this christmas. I have a ****ty burswood kit (begginner kit) with Wuhan cymbals (they are not as bad as everyone say they are) and yeah.....I am in a band, called deceit, and we are going to record our demo very soon! So yeah, I'm glad I can be a part of this drumming community!

It's a fully constitutionalized holiday and free for all, where Candians all don boxing gloves and decide to unleash all the pent up anger and frustration from being "nice" all christmas upon their fellow man.

It's pretty sweet.

Your completely wrong and ignorant rohbit, and you miss the true meaning of the holiday. Nawww thats what boxing day pretty much is.

Welcome to the forums.

I have lived in Canada all my life and I can't say I have experienced this topless river floating activity. Although we do all live in Igloos.

In all seriousness--it's blowout sales from every store in Canada day.

Lots of stores will have week long sales--blowing out anything excess from Christmas.

Boxing day was traditionally when everyone packs all their christmas presents into boxes and travel to see their relatives. Which is what i as told, makes sense. Boxing day is also the day i was born.

But to TS, welcome, good luck with the demo, and don't forget; try the fish.

Good old Wikipedia will help explain Boxing day. I didn't know it was such a big day in Canada but not so much in the States.

QFT.
Personally, I don't really do much on Boxing Day, but a lot of the origin theories suggest that it originated in England.

Edit: you don't go to teeside uni by any chance, do you?

Boxing day is HUGE in Australia. It's where everyone who doesn't live on the beach comes to the beach for a day, and where everyone who does live on the beach goes inland in disguist. Hahah. Welcome m'man!

It sure is R2, and after we beat the living hell out of each other, we get together with friends and wrap up each other's wounds while singing "Kumbaya" around a massive camp fire.

Every once in a while, someone brings Iodine and the fun REALLY begins.
