I'm looking for a new bass amp, the one I've got is my first one I ever got, and it's only 25 watts, haha. Me and a few friends recently started a band so I need a bigger one, and I found this. My guitarist has a Line 6 amp and it seems alright, anyone know whether this is worth the money? Or recommend any other amps, about 100watts, my budget is around 400 pounds.

Appreciate anyones comments, cheers :naughty:

It's decent.

They carry the bottom end quite well, and project volume nicely despite their size.

I'd go at least a step higher if you're going to go for that one though. 15", 175 watts.

I cranked the 175 watt version, and I couldn't get it to break up without going almost max with the volume knob.

I've always thought that Line 6 gear was rather average at doing lots of things instead of focusing on doing one thing well. To that end I would look elsewhere, but that's just me.

I agree on the bass amp side of things, I like the guitar amps. Look into yorkville and peavey, they make some really good 100w amps.

The amps look pretty cool, but unless you really want the effects I think it's probably not worth the price.

if you want cheapish look at Laney, they are not the best of the best but good for price, i like the sound i get from my R4

Thanks, I'll have a look at a few Peaveys and Yorkvilles I think, a friend of mine is selling a Peavy 200 watts but it's quite old.

Yorkvilles are excellent amps. I own the XM 200. 1x15" Excellent low end.

That's alot of money - you can get yourself way more than 100w for that cash.

If I was in your position i'd be getting myself an Ashdown MAG C115-300.

EDIT: I've played one of those Lin6 amps and they sounded like crap. Plenty of effects etc.. but what use are they in reality ?

Is that Peavey your friend is selling a head or a combo?
