Hey, title says half of it. I need/want to hear some good instrumental songs that have good bass, involved bass, lead bass going. Metal-ish, Progressive-ish, Rock-ish, etc. Thanks.

This is an idea, Last band I was in played frame by frame (King crimson) as an instrumental. The stick/bass part is hardly there to begin with, so he played the vocal melody on the bass instead. People surprisingly really liked it.

no, i failed to type them. i still would like to hear examples. i haven't heard a whole lot of Hamm's stuff, besides some solo pieces and a bit of band-work.

have you tried the youtube and google video methods yet?
YouTube just brings up 20,000 San Francisco solo videos, and a couple other shoddy ones.
