As far as the song on the link goes (I don't know if that's the single), it's not particularly good or anything, but it's hardly RNB.

There's a freaking breakdown near the end (with screaming), which odd, although they've had at least one other breakdown.

Is it just me or did they off their own song by using the verse of Grand Theft Autumn in the bridge right before the chorus?

FOB have hit a all time low for me now. Not only do they not know what RnB actually is they claim their music is taking a different direction but the chorus of their single proves them entirely wrong as they fall right back into a very standard pop-punk chord progression. Damn catchy though... it'll sell big for sure.

First time(probably not the last -.-) I heard the song was on the radio and after it was finished the DJ said "That's what happens when Maroon 5 meets Emo." 0.o I wanted to call the station up just to say "You don't know ****!".
You are aware that Fall Out Boy "going RNB" is just a joke right? The band made that short clip to satarize modern record producing, they in no way intend to play RNB style music.

I mean- what kind of an idiot would take a joke clip seriously?

OK, it's official guys. Fall Out Boy have jumped the shark. While it is not technically possible for a band to do that, I just don't know how else to explain it.

FUTCT was somewhat more mainstream than TTTYG, and maybe a bit poppier, but it still felt like Fall Out Boy. Infinity though, it's just amazingly bad. It starts off OK I guess, but when you get to "Hum Hallelujah", it just goes downhill faster than a drunk person on the curb.

Fall Out Boy; please stick to writing catchy pop-punks and stop trying to make your sound better by adding lots of different instruments and a few dance bass riffs. It's not working.

I actually kind of like the new album.
Sure it's not the classic pop punk style of TTTYG, but it's pretty catchy. The lyrics may also be a bit bad at times, but over all a lot of the songs are pretty good. I'm even starting to like the single as well.

Ok, Ok, I give. The album is worth a listen (but I still think it's crap). I've got a link from when I upped it to the DU if you want it, so you can judge it for yourself. I guess that's everyone's right.

And "oldskool fall out boy fan".... yeah... no. I heard Dance, Dance and Sugar We're Going Down and wanted to buy a FOB album because I thought they were decent and had some money left over, so I bought TTTYG because they didn't have that under the cork tree one.
