Alright everyone?

Would just like to ask a favour off you all; I've just set up an artist's myspace page for myself, advertising myself for tuition, dep work etc to earn some pocket money. I've put up three tracks, a Tower of Power of track with myself playing on and two others to a drum machine. Please could I have some feedback on these.

Also anything I should add to the page to increase interest! (I know theres not much on there at the moment)

Anyway all help would be greatly appreciated if you can find the time! :thumb:

I would change the font color to white or something, gray on gray is kind of brutal.

I'd space out your "About Me" section so that's easier to read. Use <br> tags to bump it down if just pressing enter doesn't work (I can't remember). And remove the part from the HTML tag that says what you used to edit your profile.

Oh, and those 8 myspace links that normally appear under your picture (with the message/add/IM/whatever options), they aren't showing.

Your graphic for your box doesn't line up with the links at all. The about me section looks much better. :)

Ben is right about the contact links, but overall the page looks infinitely better. The white is much more friendly on the eyes, and the spacing out in the "About Me" section is nice.
The playing is really good too. But that's not important. :p

I don't know why the contact section is like that, too tired to change and to the code again, will change that another time.

Thanks for the kind comments aswell, comments on the playing welcome too, seeing as that is what the page is promoting :amaze:

:D

-10 years of playing experience & 6 years of live/studio experience

and maybe in the about me sectin put BASSIST FOR HIRE so ppl know right away what ur all about

Cheers man, might well do that. Dep means depping for someone, at the last minute etc. Most musicians will know what this is.

No problem.

Thanks for all the help so far, I will gradually improve the appearance of the page when I get chances to. I would really appreciate feedback on the recordings too, probably more important; i.e. tone, articulation, feel etc.

Thanks again.

Sorry to have to bump my own thread but i have only really received feedback on the look of my page (which i appreciate) so far. I am more concerned about the recordings.

Any help is appreciated!

The ToP track is sweet, but maybe bring the bass up a little higher in the mix?

Cheers dude, someone else said that to me. I might do, I put it in the mix there to re-create the mix of the original track and the groove.

I will have a play around with it.
