Yeah yeah it's a plug, but I'm asking for direction as much as I am opinion.

It's the only song on there, we just recorded the intro today at my computer (you might recognize the beats if you use garageband a lot.) It's going somewhere, but right now it just kinda segways into me jamming on my fretless.

Anyhow, we'd like some opinions on where it should go, its rising... but where is it rising to?

Also the guitar tone, vocal melody/tone(/ability and intonation), and of course the bassline are all subject to scrutiny, this song has potential to us and I'd like to hear what potential it has to others.

Thanks for your time.

I like the contrast of the very chilled basswork, beats and synth with the harsh guitar, but I think the guitar tone needs work, and it could do with being lower in the mix too. The guitar distortion sounds almost digital - check that it's not clipping. The vocals could probably do with a little normalisation, and possibly lowering the level of delay, as on the longer phrases it interferes with the main vocal line, making it hard to hear what's being said.

A very nice vibe though. I quite like your fretless jam as an ending - it resolves quite nicely. So I'd be looking to build the song off the last guitar chord, and up from there, before lapsing back down into your groove, rather than building off your groove.

Yeah... the guitar tone is digital. We've been having some trouble finding good distortion. Any recommendations?
