Hey guys, I don't usually post here, but I really need a favour.
I'm looking for some songs that have anti-Christian themes and lyrics. Specifically, I want songs that point out the intolerance and stupidity of fundamentalist Christians. Any sub-genre is fine, it is the lyrics I am interested in.
Alternatively, if there ARE any fundamentalist Christians here, I would like some praise/worship songs or hymns that have homophobic, sexist, racist underthemes etc.
Thank you guys so much.

Err... Lets see:
At the Gates - Raped by the Light of Christ
Bloodbath - Cancer of the Soul
Meshuggah - New Millenium Cyanide Christ
Tool - Eulogy
I dont know if these are the best examples, but theyre certainly anti-Christian or criticize organised religion.

Basically mindless Christian bashing, but it's an awesome song.

As people have mentioned: Tool and A Perfect Circle (Maynard) are some good ones.
Songs from both these bands can be put in to lots of contexts so there is probably quite a lot of lyrics that you could interpret as being about Christianity.
Anything by Deicide.Yes.
A lot of black metal.
Behemoth.
Vital Remains - Dechristianize.
LegionsofMarduk

Satans Blood - Christians To Ashes, Angels To Dust
Lucifer - Watching The Christians Burn
Lucifer - Copulate The Cross
Lucifer - Begotten Christian Bastards
There are thousands of anti-christian songs out there.
Lol, deicide is ****ing posers. Glen benton got married in a church some years ago...
Plus, deicides lyrics are really silly and immature.
To say "**** jesus" in a song doesnnt point out the intolerance and stupidity of fundamentalist Christians.
All non nordic blackmetal is untrue and should be killed. HAIL SATAN 666!!
(really, ignore this post)
but, Leftöver crack - atheist anthem or Feed The Children (Book Of Lies)
"Atheism, Satanism, Autonomy,
It's all the ****in' same,
Those straight-edge christ-core mother****ers,
They don't know ****,
Their just looking for easy answers,
And they're too close minded
To look anywhere beyond their local church,
Or whatever the ignorant masses say is true."

Behemoth - Christians To The Lions
Almost anything by Immolation.
Reluctant Messiah, and Unholy Cult should be good examples.
If you just want angry retarded omg we're so awesome atheists crap, yeah, you got plenty of suggestions.
If you want something a little more interesting or thoughtful, you might try the album Still Life by Opeth. It's not really anti-Christian but it has some anti-Christian themes running through the story.
Or you might check some Immortal Technique, he's got some vicious attacks against how religious people often fail to do what they should (I remember one lyric where he's like...you're doing nothing like the church during the Holocaust)

I think one of the better one would be Sol Invictus - Kneel To The Cross. When you first read the lyrics, the song is going to come off that it's Christian-based, but once you read the lyrics and listen to the song more, you can easily tell that they're very anti-Christian lyrics.

You mean in all the rest of Agalloch's songs? No, I really can't. But that's mainly because they don't (really) choose to write about religious themes.
What song are you thinking of?

Ugh, I should know the name of the song....but it escapes me at this moment. I know the lyric states: "The God of man is a failure".

Dying Fetus - Raped On The Altar
I haven't seen the lyrics, but judging by the title I would say its pretty satanic...
I hate that song
A lot of Roger Water's lyrics express distrust of religion, but I can't really pinpoint a single song lambasting Chritianity. Maybe the Hero's Return.

How about Deathspell Omega - Sola Fide I.
EDIT: Well that's more satanic than anti-Christian, but I guess satanism can be considered an opposite of Christianity.
Dying Fetus is terrible.
At least they were nice enough to pick a name where you can tell they're going to suck and not bother checking them out.
An awful lot of metal bands do that, actually. I guess I owe them one.
NOFX - I Am Going to Hell for This One
Has a pretty original idea of how christians are wrong.
Bad Religion - Victory
And a lot of other Bad Religion, obviously.

Tool's Opiate is my favorite anti-christianity song. It's a very fun Tool track.
Choices always were a problem for you.
What you need is someone strong to guide you.
Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow,
What you need is someone strong to use you..
Like me,
Like me.
If you want to get your soul to heaven,
Trust in me .
Dont judge or question.
You are broken now ,
But faith can heal you.
Just do everything I tell you to do.
Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow.
Let me lay my holy hand upon you.
My gods will
Becomes me.
When he speaks out,
He speaks through me.
He has needs
Like I do.
We both want
To rape you.
Jesus christ, why dont you come save my life.
Open my eyes and blind me with your light
And your lies.

Also "Read Between the Lies". Pretty much just challenges the whole notion of organized religion from the preaching to the "panhandling".

ok, so my new conclusion, based on my own listening and interpretation without much thought is that Slayer's "necrophobic" could be interpreted as anti-christian! "Necrophobic, paranoia, scared to die." I don't know, but at least myself as I've started to become more and more withdrawn from religion I have become less scared of dying.......although this fact, is not in itseld the reason for the anti-religion interpretation of this song.....rather the interpretation may rather be that the song is not anti-religous but rather just an interpretation of religous thoughts.....?

This song called "Jesus Is in" By D+ might be the kind of song you're looking for. The theme of the song certainly isn't mindless anti-christian stuff or whatever. It's about love and Jesus' message being distorted, I think. Also, it's not metal at all, but it's still good.

Often the music that points out the "intolerance and stupidity" of Christianity is just as intolerant and stupid as the religion it condemns. If you want to discover the antichrist philosophy, I highly recommend Nietzsche's "Antichrist". That book has opened my eyes to a pagan philosophy of the world far more than any other book. I understand you want lyrics, for whatever reason, though as far as understanding is concerned this is the place to go.

This.
If you want some actual thoughtful songs about religion that aren't necessarily favorable toward it but aren't just "I HATE GOING TO CHURCH \m/ METAL 4EVAR" then you could check out a few Bob Dylan, Pineapple Thief, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree songs. Although I'm too lazy to list any right now :\

I read the lyrics, and I actually like the point they're driving. It's not so much anti God but against the obvious problems with the religion which is refreshing.

The book is based on the idea that Christianity is a religion that is in favour of the weak and inferior peoples of the earth. It says that Christians hate life for what it is. They hate death, they hate sex, they hate any competition, namely anything that shows strength, or power. So, Christianity is a religion of weakness. The book then describes that Christianity is an unhealthy religion that should be avoided because it is weak, and stops humanity from getting stronger. To love life is to understand that it is nothing to grieve over that the weaker people die, or that one person wins over another. These are necessary parts of natural life. If you don't like it, you're a hater of life and therefore you are not fit for life and should die.
