Next year, on National Talk Like a Pirate Day, I'll be cruising around downtown blasting my favorite Running Wild tunes.

Damn, I must have missed that holiday. Sounds like a good time. I'm assuming you prefer their later material?

The older stuff has its appeal, but the pirate-themed power metal will always shiver my timbers the most.

Running Wild aren't bad. I downloaded Under Jolly Roger and Victory so I could listen to them on Talk Like A Pirate Day. Otherwise I don't really listen to them that much.

Try "Black Hand Inn", or if you're looking for more of a speed metal feel go with their first album and probably my favorite, "Gates to Purgatory".

Black Hand Inn is greatness. Dragonmen is one of the best speed/power metal songs ever written.

Dude Metal Gods is way more fist-pumping than those come on. Those songs are probably better, but none induce fist-pumping quite like Metal Gods.
If you want to pump your fist to lesser songs, that's fine, you poseur you.

I heard 'Pirate Song' on the radio the other day. It was grand.
That's a pretty good radio station. My local ones will introduce Metallica as "a heavy song for all the metalheads".

Meh its not a huge deal, I'm sure if he did he would get someone saying "omg there is already a Running Wild thread n00b!"
I can guarantee that a 2 page thread from a year ago will not make anyone scream "OMG THERE IS ALREADY A RUNNING WILD THREAD, NOOB".

I am so glad my completely non-metal friend for some completely unknown reason had three RW albums in his house which I was able to borrow....
Then I got a 4th...
Good choice. Top, top band.
