Nevermore ****ing own so im making a thread about them. and im bored (R&M seems to have died).
i recently got a 7-string guitar so im beginning to learn every Nevermore song there is.
The thing about Nevermore is the riffs just rule. every song seems to have at least one of these crushing riffs that make it so memorable and individual - and thats why i love these guys. and Loomis' solos are pretty nifty too.
NP: The River Dragon Has Come (the greatest nevermore ever)
EDIT: I know there are Nevermore fans in this forum so get your selves in here and post
if it helps I'll ask a question:
Is it worth getting the remastered version of EoR?

Nneiighhgh, I still only have This Godless Endeavour but it's an incredible album!
Sentient 6 is one of my favourite songs of all time.
Any suggestion with where to go next?

they were amazing when I saw them live with Opeth. great times.
Astonishing band. I love them. Poison Godmachine, Sentient 6, Deconstruction, = pure genius. I actually think they're the perfect band to drive to. I'm going to stick one of their CDs on next time friends and I go to a concert

Any suggestion with where to go next? Get Dreaming Neon Black without a doubt.

i would kill several people to see Opeth and Nevermore together
@Clunge i'd recommend Dead Heart In A Dead World, but Dreaming Neon Black and Enemies of Reality are both great aswell.

Apparantely yes. It was on the Daily Upload and people were saying how much better it is.

i may get that then. the poor quality always turned me away from EoR and DNB.

For me it isn't the production that ruins Enemies of Reality, it just that it isn't a good album. The songs aren't as creative as ones of other albums. Dreaming Neon Blakck however is a super good album, its my second favourite next to Dead Heart in a Dead World.

Yeah I remember them being really great live. Also, most of their songs have the coolest sweeps ever.
When I saw them with Opeth, they weren't very good, and I'm a fan saying that.

Seeing them play the title track from TGE was the epitome of my concert experiences.

I totally disagree. When I saw that tour I thought they were absolutely amazing, probably as good as Opeth.
Anyway, Nevermore is one of my favorite bands. I have all of their albums, my favorite being Dreaming Neon Black. Incredible.

If you like TGE, then I suggest you get Dead Heart In A Dead World, and After that het Dreaming Neon Black and you'll be pretty much set.

Ok. Well my show was Nevermore's first of the tour, so they were rusty or something.

I personally think the opposite. DHIADW isn't really a good album in my opinion. The riffs are boring, whilst on EOR, the riffs are technical without sacrificing anything.

What happened to that Nevermore Forever More thread?
But yes, at one point I was absolutely in love with this band. Not so much anymore but maybe I should get them out and give another listen, it's been a while. I own Enemies of Reality and This Godless Endeavour, I really need to purchase Dreaming Neon Black and Dead Heart.

They closed all the big threads because of all the spamming inside them.

Completely off topic, but Hibria rule. Anyways, I saw Nevermore earlier this year with Evergrey. They were awesome. My friend touched Jeff a couple times, including his hair (jackpot), and Warrel wore a Dethklok shirt which at the time, no one understood. Then when I looked at the show's pictures a few months later I was like 'Now I get it'. They must have given him a shirt for doing the voiceovers

I saw these guys just recently, and they incredible. I was only a fan of This Godless Endeavor and Dead Heart In A Dead World at the time, but that didn't matter because I recognised a lot of the songs. The mix was very muddy for the first song, and Loomis's solos were a tad quiet, but otherwise it was spectacular. They're definately one of the more powerful sounding bands I've seen.
