right, so today i took apart my russian big muff to try to put a DC jack in it, and that didn't work (even though i did exactly what the plans here http://www.voxblues.com/guitar/muff/project2/page13.html said), and now, it won't work at all. i've re-wired and re-assembled the pedal exactly the way it was, with the exception of some elctrician's tape connecteing 2 wires that were cut from 1 (hot from the 9V). this has happened to me already with my ds-1 and my ps-5. what's going on? are these made so they break after they're modded or something?
and i followed the exact same plans as on that website (only with a reissue). :upset:

I would have left it alone personally. The sell adapters that clip onto where the battery goes, cheaper plus you're not fvcking around with the pedal. Thats what I did to mine.

so does anyone know what's going on? which wires go to what parts on a boss DC jack?

this is what i had done as well, but im still in the process of getting the correct adapter, ive gone through two, none has worked for me. i may be doing something wrong. what were the specs for the one that worked for you?

9 volt battery eliminator is all it says on it.

are you 100% sure that you put it back together exactly as it was? check your connections and make sure they are all good.. it looks lieka very easy mod so im not sure what to tell ya....
did you maybe hook it up to too large a power supply? that could do some harm to it

well now my muff works, but it has a broken LED. i'm gonna have to replace it later as i don't have the right size.
