He's currently been collaborating with Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his new album is supposed to be due out next year (if he follows through with it for a change).

Do you think this could be a throwback to his Thriller days, or is this most likely going to be MJ's attempt at a modern hip-hop/R&B album?

Probably the latter. Ugh I dread to think what it will be like - his image (physical and public) is hardly what it was.

I really hope he isn't going to try and become all modern hip hop. He couldnt pull it off

Oh yeah, Metallica has a new album due out next year too. Apparently next year is going to be a bad year for music.

i wonder if he's actually written a song in the past year or so, or if he's just going to try and force out an album in the studio.

From what he says, he's always writing new music, though he never followed through with the single he said he would write for all the Katrina victims.

What a shame, huh? I used to really dig him. He was so creative and talented. Now, if you believe the allegation's, it's impossible to support him.

I hope if it's not truye, the truth comes out.

Long shot?

It is nothing like S.T Anger, As a matter of fact they have two of there new songs on youtube, Metallica - New Song, Metallica - The Other New Song. I have High hopes for there new album.

It was the snare drum that killed it on S.t Anger I think :(

I won't live up to Thriller, I think he's just desperate to get out of debt.

I'm sure there will be a lot of hype but I'm not excited about it. All the Jackson's music have gone down hill.

Same, I really hope he doesn't try and do it. It's going to go wrong. Horribly wrong.

Will.I.Am is an almost 100% guarantee that it will be completely underwhelming in every which way.

Will.I.Am's involvement also means a 100% guarauntee that my mom will buy the album.

When I saw this thread on the main forum page, it only said "Michael Jackson To Release...", so I thought it was going to say "Michael Jackson To Release Children."

Will.I.Am has been useless ever since he finished recording Joints & Jam

The album will probably suck if Will i am is involved.

Michael Jackson peaked artisically at Thriller and has had no musical relevance since and thats been about twenty years. And he inflicted us with the atrocious Earth Song in the 90's. I'm sticking to my Prince records. He was the true musical pop genius of the 80's.

Wil i am isn't that bad but i don't see him helping Michael at all. If its true, I like what he did with Legend's new album.

Yes, perhaps I could learn that Will I am's music is best suited for middle aged mothers trying to be "hip" with their kids.( the same could be said for will smith's "gettin jiggy with it.")
