As an 18 year old metal drummer who's been playing 8 years I say:

Is that it? Give me a link that is at least a challenge. And besides, I don't know any drummers who play ''Just'' Metal.

Is he on drugs? He sounds so dopey

Edit: I think Someone has stolen half his kit!

His kit sounds horrible which makes him sound even more sloppy. Also, he has this weird "camp hand" hi hat technique.

The theory behind the metal drummers and music school kids are just stupid!

He sounds a lot like Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I liked the Julliard comment. If he's honestly trying to put anybody who goes to Julliard down, he is sorely mistaken. That place cranks out amazing musicians like nobody's business.

"People from Juliard couldn't do just downstrokes."

It's probably because they've heard about upstrokes...

What a 'tard.

And people wonder why I never cared for the Ramones...

Wow... he's not as ****ty of a drummer as I once thought.

He's still a pompus prick.

Hey! here's another thing we can add to the list of "unhelpful things to say to noobs":

"Why don't you go learn some Johnny Ramone Downstrokes, Chachi"

FarFromElysium

nice kit douchebag

Janeway

People from Juliard wouldn't get tired from doing down strokes...

They practice 5-8 hours a day, rather than 20 minutes a week when you're too drunk. I highly doubt that an hour of downstrokes would tire them out...

We all know punk guitar is much harder than classical/flamenco :thumb:

Yes. I love how we say that music is all about the art, but when a players competence is brought up, the reply in his defence is almost always about his income being more than any of ours...

I'm not to sure I've heard a metal drummer do that.

You know, he might think that's what they're playing when metal drummers play double bass. I wouldn't put it past him. Because I've never heard a metal drummer do that either. I hope I never do.

who cares if he has made more money, we are making fun of him because he thinks that he is amazing when he is average at best and he is so full of himself it is sickening. I dont know about you but i hate cocky assholes, especially when they arent even good.:thumb:

Sure, he's worse than a Julliard candidate...But he's made more money than any Julliard condidate ever could.

you sir are a moron.
You do realize that a ton of some of the richest musicians have come out of Julliard? It has its reputation for a reason.

Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Miles Davis(though he dropped out)... as far as music

and Robin Williams and Val Kilmer came from it's acting program..

so, don't make stupid comments. It only spreads ignorance and ruins these boards

TravisBarkerrules

I doubt a single Ramone could live through a songle music theory class

A_Guy
11-06-2006, 10:56 PM
You know, he did make a good point about how those beats require stamina, because they do. But all that crap about how metal drummers can't do it and all was complete bull-****.

1. I reckon if you cut his hair he'd look like the fonze...
2. I'm still waiting to hear this 'syncopation' he was talking about.
3. I've never heard a metal drummer play that EVER.
4. His kit sounds like my very first kit... that cost $400au

what a noob.
