This is a song my band is currently working on, the lyrics are subject to change, and I'm not even sure if this is the current copy of them, but I'll keep updating them, comments and suggestions are welcome.
we've all lost
when the blade has blurred the lines
and our parents walk behind
hands in front of our eyes
as we ready to take to arms
we don't know
and that's what makes us trained
marching all the same
our feet have lost all freedom from staying in step
we've lost in this march the will to walk away
i see a young girl standing between two opposite sides, crying
as arrows arch the sky covering the sun shadowed where i stand
dreaming; i let it in like light
This is far from being finished, and some parts are really sketchy, my vocalist wrote them and I helped edit some of it. I'm thinking of adding some parts of my own but I'll have to run that by him first. Of course, this song is meant to be screamed, and a note on the title: Arene is the greek godess of peace. Maybe that will make the title a little bit clearer to understand.
