A while ago, I saw a movie. It was Japanese, and it was about a family visiting their grandmother somewhere in the countryside. She talks about seeing the nuclear bomb drop over Nagasaki or Hiroshima (I don't remember which).

There is a scene in this movie where they show the bomb exploding, with crazy creepy music in the background, and the explosion turns into an eye. Because that's how the grandmother saw it.

If there is anyone posts the name of this movie, I will be very grateful.

EDIT: Changed thread title to something more appropriate.

Nvm, I found the name of the movie, thx to Wikipedia: Rhapsody in August. It is an Akira Kurosawa movie.

It seems I saw a lot of Kurosawa movies, because my dad used to rent them all the time. Anyone else seen anything directed by Akira Kurosawa?

I certainly hope everyone has seen stuff directed by Akira Kurosawa. Greatest director of all time. Ikiru and Seven Samurai are my favorite films.

Seven Samurai is good indeed. Two stories directly based off it are The Magnificent Seven and Stephen King's Wolves of The Calla novel. You could call this ripping off, or paying homage i don't know.

Ran is a great Kurosawa film two, based off King Lear.

I think they're homages.
