So I just watched the season premier of the O.C., and I must say that I have high hopes for it this season. I don't think anything will top season 1, but this looks like it could run for second place.

Considering I barely liked Season 2, and missed half of Season 3, this premiere was really good for me. It's getting a lot darker now Marissa died, especially Julie and Ryan kind of working together. I'm excited, this might be the break The O.C. needed

I think for such a big finish of Season 3, the start of Season 4 was not really that great. I really wish they had of shown Marissa's funeral and show Ryan skipping it.

This season shows promise though, since everyone is depressed, Ryan is beating people up again and Julie is slightly more likable.

Summer being a tree hugger doesn't seem to suit her, in my opinon.

Ryan beating people up again makes me happy. And I have a feeling we will see Ryan going to jail this season and Volchuk will probably get killed by Ryan.

Alright, well aparently it was a two episode week of the OC and I only saw the second of the two. So what happened it the second episode because I was pretty confused watching episode 3.

Ryan went to Mexico and Seth went with him.
Seth called the Coens and told them where they were. Ryan found out, got mad, and destroyed Seth's phone.
Ryan went to the bar where he had been told that Volcheck(however you spell it) was working, but he'd been fired.
Seth went to the same bar(where he ran into Steve-O as a marine, along with some other marines) looking for Ryan. He and the marines got drunk and got tattoos.
A girl in the bar gave Seth the address to Volcheck's place. Seth told Ryan a different address, and pissed Ryan off royaly when he found out.
The Coens got there and took them home.

It was good. They have all been good this season actually. Reminds me of Season 2, even though Caitlin's gay buddies are annoying. Ryan and Taylor are pretty funny though, especially in the last episode where Ryan kept fantasizing about Taylor.

Yes, I am right back into this season. Taylor is awesome. Not liking Summer as the tree-hugger, but I'm sure that will end soon. And Seth and Ryan are good as always.

Woah, last episode was freaky. It started off a little bad but got into it well. I was really expecting Marissa to be in it as well, but that was a good twist and a nice way to set her death to rest.

Also what's up with them changing the theme to a cover? I hope it doesn't stick, because I love The Phantom Planet's version. It fits so well for the show. Nice to hear a "Paranoid Android" cover in the episode too haha.

Agreed so hard. Season 1 was just awesome since everyone hated each other (Summer/Seth, Ryan/Luke/Oliver/Julie/Most other people, Sandy/Caleb). Then everyone started getting along and Ryan stopped punching people, and it's just like "Um what?"

The hate and Ryan hitting people thing wasn't exactly what made season 1 so great for me. It just had much better stories to it. Now I realize that Ryan hitting people and everyone hating eachother falls under the story, but I just liked the whole Mexico trip, the Oliver story, the story of Ryan's ex from Chino, the build-up to Seth and Summer, etc. etc.
The other seasons were still great, but something about this one's really got me.
And you gotta love Taylor.
What an awesome character she is.

I think they could've waited a bit longer to do it.

I think they could've waited until season 5 for that one.
However, the scene where they were revealing it to us was set up perfectly.

They had the perfect effect to reveal him. There might not even be a season 5. The girl who plays Summer is saying she's done after this season.

I think it was a perfect reveal of Ryan's dad too. It's weird how he knows Bob, but still. I don't know if he will be a good guy though, since all the other Atwood's aren't. I just think Frank will be a bigger bad guy than Trey.

It wouldn't get picked up for a major network anyway. Ratings have halved over the 4 years it's been running. You can't blame Fox for getting rid of it. Let's face it, the first season only did so well because Fox whored the hell out of it. It was everywhere. After that, the show relied on it's name and actors to get promotion.

Josh has already said it's going to be a very happy finale, which I'm not surprised by anyway. After the last 2 season finales with Trey getting shot and Marissa dying, I can't see them making it a sad ending to the show.

Seth and Summer will get married almost definitely. I'd guess something will happen with Ryan's dad and it might look like he's going back to Chino, but Ryan will end up staying in Newport with the Cohens.

Episode def. seemed rushed but the ending was sweet. I like how it ended with Ryan since he was the main basis for the show.

It was worth it because the concert was amazing, but it still sucks that I had to miss the finale.:(
