What's your verdict?

As for the game I mentioned, I have a few to choose from. Some kid in the neighborhood posted something on our mailbox saying that he's selling his GameCube stuff and he has assorted games for 10 bucks each.

Cheaper than what you'll find at EBX or something.

Yes you should because Zelda: Twilight Princess is coming out in a month for gamecube.

$60? Bargain, go get it. And then save up and buy a Wii in a month or so, too.

lol Alf Malf. Why get a Wii and a GC, the Wii plays GC games.

Hm I should go to EB or JB and get some GC games for when I get my Wii.

I wouldn't I have a gamecube and theres no decent titles out on it for me except for mario and zelda. Maybe when I was younger but i'm not into that kinda stuff any more. I like guns, guts and gore and lots of it.

I'd just save up for the Wii because it has a GC backtracking system.

id just use that 60 towards a Wii, and buy some of his games at that time

Plus a Wii has downloadedable NES, Genisis, SNES, and N64 games.
It's with an SD card, so I assume you can just use an emulator and won't have to buy "Wii Points".

That's the plan. I've already got some N64/NES/Sega games on my computer I'm just hoping can be moved right over to my Wii. Hmmm, but getting the stuff on the card in the first place will be interesting.

Save up for the Wii I'd say.
This deal for the GC is a good one, but if you save and wait for the Wii you're getting a Wii, GC, N64, SNES, and NES all in one anyway.

wrong. what about chibi robo, metroid, pikmin, and the most graphically amazing version of resi4.

id say get that gamecube now. once the wiis out, gc game prices will probably drop even more.

they are right about the wii though. it looks like a great system and its backwards compatible, plus the ability to download classic games. the wii has actually captured more of my interest than the flashier ps3 and 360. and not just because you dont have to sell a kidney to get this one lol. Don't get it. See what games he has and get them for 10$ a hit though, that is very worth it.

If you see these games get them.

XIII
Battalion Wars
Custom Robo
Zelda: Wind Waker
Metriod Prime 1/2
Resident Evil 4
Star Fox Assault
Viewtiful Joe
Killer 7
Pikmin 1/2

If you're worried that some of these are on the PS2, don't, they were built for the Gamecube and are 10x better on the Gamecube. The PS2 is too kiddie for my taste, I see 10 year olds playing it now, Mid 20s for Gamecube.

Save for a Wii.

If you don't plan on buying it, you'll have to wait a while for the Wii.

I think you should go with it, I did the same and I love to play Gamecube. So many good little games (a lot of them also cheap) like Killer 7, Soul Calibur 2 etc.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with a Gamecube.

I have played quite a few of those titles, notice the "for me" too.
I sometimes like to crack out the gamecube and play mario but i'm a blood and guts man now. I played a lot when I was younger though, the gamecube is directed more to the younger market I reckon.

But I wouldn't buy another one if mine broke.

Adventure wasn't a Star Fox game at all. It was called Dinosaur Planet and it was built for the N64, they added Star Fox characters and turned it to crap. It tried to be a Zelda but failed to capture my attention. Assault was an action game that had what made Star Fox fun, flight battles and land battles were fun despite being different from Star Fox 64. Adventure was a step down for the series. If it hadn't included Star Fox it would have probably been a much better game.

And pitchfork, you obviously haven't played Resident Evil 4 on the Cube cause its got more blood and guts then anything the PS2 had before it was ported. Also what sick mind just wants to see blood and guts all the time?

People need to sit down and find out what makes a game enjoyable and mature. Its not blood and guts its thinking rationally, something that has been lost on today's blood and guts games.

star fox adventures was utter crap, as well as short

Well that's subject to opinion. What really puzzles me though is how people think that there is one console that has all the best blood-gore titles.

The Wii comes out in like 2 weeks in the US, why even think about getting a GC and then getting a Wii. I say one or the other.

It is subject to opinion but does someone who watches horror movies only mature vs. a person who sits around doing goofy puzzles and playing games not mature.
