I didn't write this, it was one of my friend for our band, this is one of our songs, it's not finished yet but it's gonna be rad, I'd appreciate some comments for now.

Verse1:
We're on the run
We're on the run
avoiding ourselves once again
Only this time we have nowhere to hide
Evading this emotional mine-field
No time to think
No time to yield
So follow your affectual instincts
And try to overcome the oncoming tide

Verse2:
Still on the run,
Still on the run,
Anxious to see the other cross the line first,
We may drag this out 'till we're grey and white.
So With every single step stressing that risk,
Don't keep quiet,
Don't bite your tongue,
Time is ticking, we better act quick
Honesty is the hope to our salvation,

Chorus:
Despite of how futile it seems
Despite of how useless it is
Lets both do like Broadway does
and dance this dance dutifully
Lets both do like Broadway does
and perform this piece perfectly
The spotlight is on us, don't shy away
there's much to much at stake

It is true band music. Written to fit the music, non?
I could picture it as a half decent pop punk song with the correct musical backing, but as a set of lyrics, they're quite dull and boring. It's probably why you got no comments. Alot of the time, you've gotta be very patient, good, or bad to get comments around here. But yeah, like I said, nothing that hasn't been done before. Check the guide at the top of the page if you want to improve your lyrics.

If your name is in reference to the Goo Goo Dolls, that's awesome, they're amazing. Anywho, yeah, they weren't really designed to be amazing it was as you said a decent pop-punk song which is what we are making it, just wanted to know what people thought. Thanks for your comment though.

I agree with 'TheBigMachine', I found it really dull and uninteresting to read, but perhaps listening to it would be different. You'd have to have some nice instrumentation to back this up though.
