Quick Question for Wiz's

OK, so I've had to resort to buying a new Counter strike source due to Steam sucking. But I've already bought it once and don't want to pay full again. I've heard the Half-Life 2 CD keys can work for Counter-Strike Srouce. Can anyone confirm this? HL2 is cheap than CS:S so I'd rather buy HL2 that pay 30 for CS:S, But Need confirmation.

You can buy hl2 with css included and the other way around, but if you just buy the games alone the keys aren't interchangeable.

Well the link doesn't work, but the key from a hl2 box will only activate css if it specifically says css is included. They usually throw in dod:s too btw.
