thats what i thought but the 1006 looks a little different then what i remember LS's TRb looking like.

like the pocket near the Necks heal for slapping the 1006s dont have it.. unless his is a older model.. plus the Paint Job... ive never seen a solid one... just a transparent gloss, with the natural woods coming thru.

I think the pocket near the bottom near the neck is on the older versions.

So I think you may be getting a newer trb1006.

His is a TRB6 (or something like that). It is an older model than the TRB1006.

wasn't it like a TRB6II?

Maybe that's it. I just know it predates the 1006.

trb6, made in 1992. i think the only pictures i have of it are either before i put the finger ramp in, and in action at shows, but ill post those and take some real shots of it later today.

Phil, I still say that you have some of the best fretting hand technique that I have ever seen.

Well I personally think that the floating thumb technique is better and easier. It reduces the risk of carpel tunnel and it is much easier to mute the unused strings. But if what you do works for you, do it.

What I was trying to say ;)

Those were the second TRB's. The originals had a neck through body design and where sold for like 3000 dollar. The second ones (which, I assume, you have) where sold for something like 1500 bucks. :smoke:

I was hoping on a original TRB.. Too bad! :smash:

My band doesn't compete BOA, but I live in Indy. I was thinking about going. I'll definitely go now to see you guys.

alrighty, youll definitley see me. look for the Bellbrook Marching Band (class AA). the show is basically centered around me, the bass player, and im using an electric upright and my jp2, it should be pretty cool.
