I just watched Batman Begins, and was really impressed. At first i was kind of wary about the film not being fully set in Gotham City and having this bizarre mystical ninja theme but it really came into it's own and revealed a complexity i hadn't seen in the earlier films. Christian Bale was a good choice for a younger Bruce Wayne and Micheal Caine made a different kind of Alfred with the bad jokes and all, i ended up liking him. I'm not sure where this fits in with the Batman canon but i think as it's own film it stands up excellently. Also i didn't pick Gary Oldman as Commisioner Gordon, that guy has got to be the most versatile actor i have ever seen.

Anyway i've now watched all the Batman films and have to say they are some of the best movies i have ever seen, and have come a long way since the days of Adam West. I am excited where Christopher Nolan is going to take the series with The Dark Knight, and wondering how Heath Ledger is going to hold up as the Joker.

Discuss the Batman series.

Batman Begins is a pretty good film. I've only seen it once but I really enjoyed it. Best Batman since Batman Returns probably. Michael Keaton has always been my favourite Batman though and naturally, Batman is my favourite movie out of the five (excluding the old school Batman with Adam West - which I own...)

eh, I guess it tried hard, but a bunch of ninja's in a far away land wanting to bring down Gothom due to corruption was pretty lame.

It had it's moments, but not many IMO.

Keaton's were the best (movies) & the old Adam West's are still the bomb.

Christopher walken would make an awesome batman imo.

Batman Begins was good, but I've always thought of him as a second rate superhero.

He isn't even super.

Which is what makes him awesome. The only reason the other heroes have the balls to go out and be heroes is because they have powers.

Batman just does it.

I this Batman Begins is by far the best Batman film ever made.

Hmm, you raise an interesting point. I'm not convinced, though.

Batman is actually the only superhero series I like. Batman Begins was excellent, probably the best one yet. The ones from the '90s are cheezy fun too.

I remember a few years ago on TBS they showed Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever all in a row and me and my sister stayed up until like two in the morning watching it.

Anyone know if they are going to remake the series in the Batman Begins style? (because that would be awesome.)

Man how awesome would that be.

He's an awesome old dude. Great actor.

Thats it man. Batman relies purely on his physical strength, batgear and acrobat skills. Batman also helped pioneer that gritty, anti-hero theme in superhero stories.

"I'm not going to kill you. But I don't have to save you."

That is an awesome line.

Yeah. The next one is already in the works. It features the Joker (played by Heath Ledger) as TS mentioned.

They're not based on the old movies though (if that's what you meant).
