What are some relatively easy to play crowd-friendly bass lines? I play the beginning of country music fairly often when we're waiting for the whole crowd to get into the sanctuary on Wednesday nights to worship, but I was wondering what were some other songs that will get a good response?
Thanks in advance.

If it's for church maybe Wooten's version of Amazing Grace would do well.

We used to play white riot to open in one of my past bands but I doubt that'd fly in a church.
Maybe some old ska or reggae.

It doesn't have to be church music. Believe me, we've played our share of non-christian music before worship.
I'm pretty much just looking for a riff that people will like and react to (people clapping during Country Music, etc.)

Band or solo works. We're talking 6-12th grade.

I'd say pop-rock tunes for that age group. I bet Green Day would go over well.
