So I just got a 6" Holz for my Bass Drum, makes it sound alot better along with my new Aquarain Superkick 1, compared to the horrible sound and feel of the stock Everplay and no hole in the head.
I followed the instructions religiously, took the head off, stuck the inner ring inside the head in a position I was happy with, then slowly and carefully cut the skin out inside the ring. Slipped at one point and if the stanley knife wasn't so blunt would have cut a huge gash half the width of the head!
So I've got my inner ring, with a nice clean hole. I then take the protective paper covering the stickyness on the main outer ring, and slot it over. It sticks, but doesn't seem to be on right.
The inner ring all the way around seems to be at a 45degree angle, so it meets the outer ring (imagine a banked racing oval, but the other way around).
It seems like I can't get the two rings to lock? I don't want to force it, there's no where for it to go? It's like the inner ring to slightly too big?
Now the stickyness has gone from the outer ring, due to it constantly falling off onto the floor.
