The snare is an older Mapex (ca. 1995) steel shell, 6.5 x 14. Its a real solid rock snare, tons of depth and projection, holds its tuning well.

Yeah, I'm old.....I admit it. Probably don't belong on here, but someone has to guide you young pups!

The side drum is a homemade maple shell timbale, 3 x 13.

I always pictured you as an uber cool 17-25 year old guy. This is different.

OK, so I'm an uber cool 39 year old guy, or doesn't that exist?

Yeah dude. If you have a Conaway, and one that is as sexy as yours, then you're uber cool even if you are 139 years old.

Looks cool man, not sure how you have the snare low and kinda angled, but you obviously play uber well with it, so I shouldn't say anything.

The title doesn't matter...you rock on drums. Awesome kit.

The angle of the pic makes it look lower....I have no prob getting good rimshots, plus I switch back forth between matched and trad grips. I just like the snare tilted toward me a bit.

Ah, ok, its sometimes hard to see in pictures. Great pics and awesome kit BTW, I'd kill to have it. When are you going to put the octobans back up... they ruled.

Seriously man, I love your kit. I've never seen anything like it anywhere, but it still looks absolutley timeless. It's completley unique and very beautiful, but not ostentatious at all. I'm not convinced Conway could have a better ad.

I love how your shell finish is just so perfect with the black hardware:thumb:
