Hey guys, I'm thinking about refinishing my drums, what I have now is getting kind of boring. So I was wonder what paint, and how many coats would be sufficient.

Thanks:thumb:

depends on what color you want your drums to be
i know nothing about refinishing but i think if you want to do a fade or a really dark color you may need quite a few coats
i could be wrong though...someone help me out!

CombatWombat has a great guide on refinishing drums. He gets major kudos for doing that.

Google is also your best friend. You will learn to love it when you use it.

I just used spray paint for my drums (took wrap off and sanded etc) Just do as many coats as you feel looks good! Then clear coat as many times as you want. DOn't plan it! Just do it!
