I will give him this: the intro to "The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most" is pretty cool.

I really gotta disagree with you guys on some parts, their first albums are all great and nearly every song on each one of them is good, this includes
The Drowning Ep only 3 tracks, all of which are incredible
The Swiss Army Romance, once again every song is good
The So Impossible Ep is 4 incredible songs
The Places is the best music a band could make before starting to suck
I really cant listen to A mark A mission, and I haven´t heard much of the new one, but what I have heard sounds like A mark a mission, which isn´t good.
before those two albums is some really great music.
´Expect me to apologise, for things that you´ve done wrong´
my friend Adom
´that lyric is awesome man, It couldn´t be more true, I mean, girls do **** like that all the time´
ohh yeah, in the early stuff, is some really good lyrics
Concubine

which is basically what we said dude :p
Early stuff was good. New stuff sucks

What everyone else said
So Impossible EP is the best stuff by Dashboard, though the stuff that was retouched with drums on unplugged and Summer's Kiss is just as good

One of the signs of the apocalypse... I think (was it "PP is Burt" or "PP is Burnt" ...?)

He's a mod in S&L. I didnt he think he payed visits to pop punk, but yeah, probably a sign of the apocalypse...

Dashboard Confessional is the funnest music I know of to play on acoustic guitar. Not to mention it drives girls wild. At one point in time I knew every song up to A Mark A Mission. That did me well at parties.

^ You mean was doing, since he left a while ago...unless he came back and I had no idea. :amaze:
Yeah, FSF >>>>>>> Dashboard
He only did one album with FSF I thought.
Anyways yeah it was really good though.

I really can't get into Dashboard Confessional. It seems like fake emotion to me a lot of the time, just my personal opinion though.

I too like the CD ´The Moon Is Down´ and yes it was the only FSF album that Chris was on. A while back he did a short reunion tour with FSF. What I would´ve done to´ve gone to that..

who would really let their voice break in such a disgusting manner just for the hell of it.

Chris Carrabba would.
If you were getting paid enough, you would, too.

11-27-2006, 05:31 PM
I honestly don´t think he got paid to have his voice break and cry at the end of the album The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most. That was the old Dashboard. The good Dashboard, the Dashboard that I trust. Thats just me though. I think he´s serious. but if you dont thats ok too

Whoever their new singer was at the time.
I know it wasn't Chris because The Sound was on that album and I saw the music video for it. It definitely wasn't Chris.
hm
well that album is good too

i wish he would go back to his old ways of jus his voice and the guitar.. i loved the acoustic stuff.. now theres all the instruments and stuff
lunchforthesky
12-05-2006, 01:54 PM
i like the new stuff. i'd rather he moved on than made the same album every two years. just look at pennywise to know that sucks.
SubtleDagger
12-05-2006, 02:02 PM
His acoustic stuff was getting much better when he was turning it into acoustic with drums and putting in different parts
When he just went straight into a band though it completely changed the focus of what he was doing
lunchforthesky
12-05-2006, 02:05 PM
agreed. his best album by some way is the places you have come to fear the most.

I still say the stuff on So Impossible/Summer's Kiss is the best stuff he's ever done
Those are EPs but they're still just a bit better than Places since Places tends to fall back on a lot of the ideas from Swiss Army and only about half of it has the newish feel to it
I still like Places, definitely

If anyone hasn´t heard the Drowning Ep I strongly recommend that. Only 3 tracks but they are all incredible. I like absolutely everything up to A Mark A Mission. And to tell you the truth, I would liked him to release the same record every two years rather then the crap that they are putting out now, I really dont like that music.
Jack Wilson
