I've notice that a lot of people who don't like MCR are enjoying their new single "Welcome to the Black Parade". Anyone out there that don't or didn't like the band who likes their new single? I've heard 6 songs of their new CD and I got to say that is far better that their previous stuff, they finally grew out of their horror movie obssesion and started writting deep, meaningful songs. If you didn't really like btheir pevious stuff, i advice u to give their new CD a shot when it comes out u might b surprise.:smash:

To be honest, I wasn't really a fan of their previous stuff,Helena was an alright song, but the album disappointed me.

And I'm really looking forward to their new album. Welcome To The Black Parade is a pretty good song imo.

I haven't heard anything other than what's on TV by them, I liked Helena though. I think this new song is pretty great aswell. Definately a step in the right direction.

I like how over the top the lyrics are at the beginning. It would be Dylanesque if it weren't so shitty and unbelievable.

I also like how they then go into the same dull, pop-punk sound.

I'm listening to the whole album now. So far, I like what I hear. It's fun. Very over the top. Some of the music reminds me of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I think I'll agree with Elim for the time being. There are some pretty solid tracks on this. Despite the faster pace, heavier guitars and whatnot it seems alot poppier and more overproduced than their earlier stuff. The variety is cool too, ibut t'll take a couple more listens before I can get a full verdict on it.

I liked their old stuff, but I LOVE Black Parade, Welcome to the Black Parade kind of reminds me of something Queen might have written with the overall setup and sound (of course Freddy Mercury didn't sound like Gerard Way, but it's still my opinion) and I just can't get over how much cleaner of a sound they have now
