I just started listening to these guys. Theyre damn good. I'm seeing them with flogging molly and decided I should check them out. One thing though does the lead singer fake his accent...?

I think he does from time to time, but on the record overall I don't think he does it that much, they are Canadian.

okay so bedouin soundclash are good

but why is this in the punk forum

coheneran
10-18-2006, 06:34 AM
For the same reason Ska is in the punk forum...?

Eliminator
10-18-2006, 06:38 AM
because ska is a subgenre of punk right

coheneran
10-18-2006, 06:46 AM
2nd Wave is a fusion of punk and first-wave ska.

Eliminator
10-18-2006, 06:53 AM
yeah

but i don't really get anything punk sounding from bedouin soundclash at all

maybe i'm dumb

Specials didn't sound so much like punk either, or the King Blues. It's a whole other genre that sprung from punk, but this seems like an ideal place for it to be discussed.

Yeah, When the Night Feels My Song and a few others off the album are great, but some are too reggaeish for me.

I think its because they are on side one dummy records that they got posted here

No it's because they are good. Also being ska does help...

I was into this band about a year ago, now i can't stand them. My friend has When the Night Feels My Song as his ringtone and i want to slap him everytime he gets a call.

I dig this band from time to time, but the big single kind of annoys me to be honest. My favorite song on the album is probably Shadow Of A Man.

They're pretty good, but the voice can really get to me after too many listens.

I've never heard this band. Might check them out if I'm bored someday.

Get to see them tomarrow with flogging molly. Im more interesting to hear Zox because of how they are described. Maybe I should listen to a few songs first.

Zox are not good.

I respect them and they seem like nice guys. I do like the music i've heard It's too bad the radio overplays 'When the night feels my song' though.

I'm digging this band a lot right now. I'm glad I checked them out. They actually do have some interesting stuff. I didn't think it would be any g ood.

Great band. Sounding a Mosaic is a pretty cool album, exept When The Night Feels My Song gets overplayed and annoying.

I'm gonna ask the same quesiton many are asking here. Why the punk forum?

AIRIC
10-24-2006, 09:42 PM
Many punks like this type of music and the band was more than likely influence by punk rock.

zabbit82
10-24-2006, 09:44 PM
Good point. I was only thinking what genre the band was.

I wanted to go to that show, but I had homework to do and it was $25..

Catchthe22
10-25-2006, 08:06 AM
My ticket was 15$. The first two bands were worth like 4 dollars to see. Flogging Molly made up for the rest of the ticket for sure.

These guys didn't go to the stop I was at cause of illness or something. Didn't really bother me since Chuck Reagan played a little longer and it was less time in total before FM played.

I won a custom skatedeck from Bedouin Soundclash off of PRC, but havent recieved it yet.

awesome chill band. "When the Night Feels My Song" is a tad overplayed but its great roots-reggae kinda music nonetheless.

Plus, Jenifer from Bad Brains produced Sounding a Mosaic which further increase the awesomeness of that album.

I love this band, they are so good. I'm pretty sure I got Sounding a Mosaic from the Mucho Punk Album Mailing List.

Overplayed? PLAYED?? You must be one of those "Canadians" I keep hearing about, reggae doesn't get on the airwaves around here.

AIRIC
10-26-2006, 04:24 PM
Same. I've never heard that song anywhere.

This album is really good to chill or even dance to. Live they were only okay but the album is top notch.

Anyone else think when they hear the Murder On The Midnight Wire it is going to turn into a Talking Head's song.

I'm a huge fan of this band. I think they blend their different styles very nicely and come up with a pretty unique sound.

I was very impressed with "Sounding a Mosaic", my favourite tunes are "Gyasi Went Home" and "Music My Rock". Very solid album.
