I think the lyrics standout especially as being really smart and such. The band is also really catchy and has a pretty unique sound to them imo, mostly due to the vocalist's style.

I love the lyrics because they are brutally honest. There's very little cliche about Say Anything's lyrics, and if there is something cliche, Max words it ever so much better than most bands around nowadays.

Great band though. IARB is easily my favourite of 2004, and I can't wait for the next album.

Amazing band. Only really got into them about a year ago, but they are definately in my top 5 bands.

Can't wait for the new album to come out, or the full band version of A Walk Through Hell.

I like how they kind of mix "indie" styles with screaming and pop punk, and some of the catchiest choruses I've ever heard.

I got into them off the Spin acoustic sessions you upped for the DU, and after hearing Admit It (best lyrics ever) I downloaded their other stuff. So much goodness.

I also love how he can incorporate huge words like AFI while maintaining coherency and catchiness.

Bah, 1/5!? Actually that sounds about right. Well that's what I thought when I first heard the band about 2 years ago now. Well, 3/5. But seriously, Say Anything is my favourite band and I do actually think that this could be 'the' band of our generation. And why not? Who better to pick? Max's lyrics are so insanely good, like Kif said, brutally honest, which is ultimately refreshing, and he manages to make things that sound incredibly cliche, unique. They deserve everything they get, which is going to be a hell of a lot. And I hope they get it, because they're a real D.I.Y band, Max especially. Well, he did it himself so much he went insane, but I mean, writing awesome lyrics, singing them with fantasticly raw, passionate vocals, doing basically the guitaring, and bass, excellently. One of the most hardworking musicians in America, and for only, what, 22?

I'm passed the stage of getting pissed off at the kids who listen to this when they are being adressed. Sort of makes me worse then them, and I hated that. I think everyone should listen to this band, and just enjoy it. They've made me a better person.....fag i know lolz.

Say Anything has some amazing stuff, and IARB was a great album, but most of their best stuff came before they got signed. Baseball and Majorah/Menorah had some good ones too. Max is one of the best, smartest lyricists around.
