when i want to record a drum loop, how do i do that? because now i can only play things using my midi keyboard. i could record the loop directly to a cd, and then record it back as an audio track, but i would like to know if there is a way that i wouldn't have to do that.
Thanks
Peace

Record the MIDI track, feed it to your drum VSTi so that it plays back. Mute everything else in the project. Export the whole thing as appropriate to acquire audio.
However, if you just keep the MIDI data, you don't really need to export it. The VSTi output(s) will appear on your mixer just like any other audio track.

Don't be a jerk. Nobody here has to help you, and they won't if you treat them poorly.
No, I didn't say anything about a CD burn whatsoever. You have a hard drive, yes? Use it to store MIDI data. Have Cubase play back that MIDI data through whatever VSTi you're using to make your computer make noise from the MIDI inputs of your keyboard. It's very similar to audio, except it's generated in real-time by your computer and your plugins.
