My throat is kinda hurts (n00b singer)

So yeah, the past to or three days I'v been do'n a little singing, main the song chapter four by avenged sevenfold. and at the end of each day my throat is pretty sore. Is this just cause i dont sing much,and should go away after awhile?

I'm not doing the screams on C4 either just the singing.

If your throat hurts, then you are singing incorrectly :( Brush up on your technique...specifically look at whether you have undue tension in your throat, jaw, and mouth, and whether or not you're using your diaphragm for support.

You should never have pain from doing any vocals. Period. Pain=trauma in any other part of the body and its no different in the throat. Although many times people's throat will hurt and it will not be the cords, which isnt quite as bad, when its due to the "new" amount of extra air flow.
