Corey Lidle accidentally crashed a plane into a building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Its a shame, I know he didn't do much in New York, but it's just such a weird chain of events and you never want to see anyone die, I also heard that his family may not have heard about his death because they're flying right now. 2 others died in the plane and I think a few died in the building, I don't think any of them are named yet.

i didn't know much about his baseball career, was he any good?

He was a fairly decent player

I know he played for the Jays at one point.

If the Yankees would have won the series then Lidle wouldn't have gotten into the plane accident. That really is a shame.

That is a messed up idea, but you're right. It's things like that that make me wonder if there isn't some larger plan in terms of it being "your time" to go.
