Well, I posted this in the audio area and I thought some different people might see it here.

This was recorded rather shoddily, with 2 mics (one on my guitarists cab and one in front of my drumset) we recorded it as a more lengthly jam session, as live improvisation then cut it down to a part we liked.

So I guess it would be abridged improv. The quality isnt astounding, but It's decent for a unrehearsed jam session.

I'm open to any comments, good and bad, and thanks for listening!

i'll say something, even though i'm not sure too much what i'm talking about.

the drums entered too high in the mix, kind of threw the guitar off.

for the most part you were pretty in tune with each others ideas.

it flowed quite well, transition wise. the breaks felt slightly overdone though; too often and too similar.

i don't like the guitar sound, but a) thats probably personal preference and b) i know nothing about guitars, just what i like.

you both appear to be consumate musicians, but it needed some more bass, something to sit nicley with the drums. the guitar and drums felt quite separate at times and i think a bass might draw them together a tad.

overall, nice ideas and executed quite well, especially considering the lack of recording devices. take my advice with a grain of salt however, as i'm not too hot on recording etc, just came in here out of boredom.

What would you like commented on? This isn't an instrument specific forum. Some Jam Session posters know about music theory. Some know about recording. Others know about production. Others know about music business. What aspect of your music would you liketo know about? You never specified.
