Municipal Waste in about two weeks.

Municipal Waste are awesome live "We're drunk as f'uck and this is a song about it... it's called Drunk as f'uck"

Rancid are playing Bristol soon, I'm not going. I'll take it or leave it to be honest, as I've been going off them for a while although if I go down to the venue before hand in the afternoon and heckle them then there is always the small chance they'll get me in free, maybe.

You may hate me, but I'm sure it's in an erotic way.

The support's kinda crappy too, first of all it was rumoured that Dropkick Murphys and The Slackers were supporting, then I found out that it's the Strawberry Blondes and the Unseen. I've already seen the Unseen this year and don't care much for the other band plus it was £16.

I've just rememered, I'm going to see Terror next month and Mustard Plug/Planet Smashers. Word

Glasgow, Scotland. It's good because most bands touring the UK come here, but I also know the music scene pretty well and I've got some good contacts. There's not a lot of punk bands that come though, so I see whoever I can, ie - why i'm seeing Rancid and Capdown. We've got a decent music scene here just now.

i had to pick and choose, due to lack of funds.

yeh, not a big punk fanbase here, so im super-hyped about them all. never seen a punk band before. blink-182 were the closest ive been

so i went to a show tonight that sort of came out of nowhere.

a bunch of local bands.

Broadcast Zero- ****ing awesome. Honestly it's too bad they went first when there werent many non-scene kids there yet, or there would have be an INSANE pit. Also, they are a fairly political band, which I like.

Billy The Kid- People from vancouver might know her, but she recently moved to k/w ontario so she played. She didnt really fit in with the other bands that night, but she covered a billy bragg song and then played a funny song about narcotics, so she was a-ok in my books.

A Bitter End- Pretty generic metalcore, but it was okay cause the guys all had good stage presence and seemed like nice guys.

Two Liner- The big one of the night, unfortuneately some people already got their buzz on so they were being assholes in the pit. I got head butted in the stomach hard enough to nearly fall over. Other than that sweet band though

Kid Gib- They were an okay pop-punk band, nothing really special but nothing deafening.

then my personal favourite of the evening
Saigon Hookers- Oh man, they play music very much in the same vein as the stooges did. And they were or-****ing-gasmic. ANd mid way through one of their songs the singer/guitarist asked me if I wanted to come up and play guitar for a bit. But I passed cause there was no way I could keep up with the drums/bass.

Great band, and I picked up their album from merch and it's a great album too. If they're ever near you, check them out.

Gogol Bordello's tomorrow, but I don't think I'll go. It's 15$ more than I have, and I've never liked their recordings much. Most likely I'll regret it later that night when I'm sitting at home doing nothing.

anyone else have the problem where there are too MANY shows to go to? Half the weekend's I've got to choose between two or three different things due to conflicting times. There are three shows and a party all happening this Saturday, and I'm seriously split on what to do.

Not from VC, but I am from that side of the country. Saw them play in front of six or seven kids at a community hall in my town. Pretty much the only "punk show" that has occured in my town in a good five years.
