Getting "Hey"'s and "Ho"'s to sound good?

my band just recorded our first demo and I'm trying to mix it. We have a song we're we scream OI!, but whatever I do it sounds lame. I've tried copying it to three different tracks and pan them all to the sides, and added delay and a little reverb.

but it sounds just doesn't sound powerful enough.

if you could tell me what this band http://www.myspace.com/deadbygun has done in the song "sensation", about 25 seconds into the song? it sounds like one hellofa reverb, but still not wimpy.

we were in a rush, so it's just 3 guys screaming into a microphone at once, could this be the problem?

Can you post the raw file you're working with?

I'd like to try a few things before I make a recommendation. You seem to have covered the basics of what I would normally suggested.

i'd say get 6 + people doin it on one track and add lots of reverb. possibly a little echo? i mean, if you want it to sound like a crowd of people yelling. do you notice how crowds always seem to sound like white noise? yeah, im not too sure, but...yeah...lol

well as far as the example you posted, it sounds like they recorded at least 4 to 6 different tracks of the yell and panned them in a wide stereo spread. if you can, try to do that

umm, i don't feel comfortable sharing the song at this point, cause nobody's heard it except the band members... and i'm afraid it would suck too bad.

I don't want the song. I want the "heys" and "hos."
