i dont think i did a very good job with this one. how would you eq the guitar tracks so that there is more presence to it? i know somethings wrong with the vocals (besides me going off key half the time) eq-wise. and i sound boring when im singing. anyone know how to fix that?
i used kristal as a sequencer, which was better than the sonar home edition 4 because kristal has better eq editing capability.

k i fixed the link
I thought it was decent:thumb: I think you would sound less "boring" if there were drums behind it. Kind of reminded me of MxPx......

Kill the lows of your voice and bring out the highs. That'll make the voice stand out more in the mix and leave more spectral space for the guitar. Make the levels of the two tracks closer in volume.
Also, as you add more tracks to the mix, don't forget about panning. Right now everything is dead center. Even though it's obviously an early version of the final cut, it's boring in that regard too.

At the moment it's just voice and guitar. Not a whole lot to pan. Continue recording stuff and you'll notice that you'll want more space to mix with.

Sounds cool. guitar presensce try around 1.5-2.5 kHz that might help it. um vocals what Moseph said he knows it all.
Every song needs drums! ha anyways you have a drummer?

i have a drummer sorta, but we dont have any mics to record with. we were wondering if we could just buy a condenser mic instead of a set of drum mics. would that work out?
for now im gonna use acoustica. ill post the song again when i record it over.

it would work, but it wouldn't sound very good, a snare, bass, and a condenser and you should be able to make ok quality
