yesterday around about 3pm a driver named Mark Porter was driving in thr Fujitsu Series of V8 Supercars Australia, on the world famous circuit bathurst.

As he was coming out of the corner he lost control and was stranded in the middle of the track, which was one of the fastest parts of the circuit.

all of a sudden David Clarke a fellow driver, came around the corner and smashed into marks drivers side at 180KPH.
(around about 110MPH).

Mark and David were airlifted to hopsital following theyre horrific crash and David is in a stable condition and is conscious, Mark on the other hand, is in a serious condition, test are being run to see if he has sustained brain damage, he is on life support also.

So please keep these two and theyr families in our thoughts, as australia would not like to lose more motorsport personalities following the great peter brocks death last month.

I encourage you to all watch the race broadcasting tomorrow from 10am Australian Easter standard time, and as a mark of respect for peter brock the front line of the grid is being left vacant at the start of the race.

as i said please keep these drivers and theyre families in your prayers through this tough time.

P.S if you dont know who peter brock is, he was one of the best drivers in the world, won bathurts over 10 times, and was nick named peter perfect for his winnings and sheer skill involved in driving a v8 supercar, please learn about him as he is a great inspiration to all australians and was a true blue great ausse bloke.

I'm pretty sure he only won it 9 times. The 10th always eluded him. :(

Nice to see Craig Lowndes win it today, especially considering the connection he had with Peter Brock.

Paul Radisich got owned hard today as well, so I hope he is ok.

:(

That is so awful for his family. The other guy recovering from the accident must feel absolutely terrible right now.

Yeah this was terribly sad. The good thing that has come out of it is the safety standards may be raised, hopefully it may prevent such an accident occuring.

Rip Brocky, Porter.
