Is it possible to dismount a holz ring after u first have mounted it?
Can I use it on a new head?
Or do I have to buy a new one...

If you knew you wanted to re-use it before you mounted it for the first time, you coule re-use it. Dont stick anything to the head, just cut around it without sticking it down. maybe a little risky, but saves buying new holz!

Well if that is all you want from the holz, Pete, you can just use a coffee can or something the size of the hole you want for your outline. (I don't advise doing this because it tends to mess up your head and leave you with a hole that isn't even remotely close to a circle.)

If you are discarding the head and don't mind ruining it get a couple of chisel's and slowly prise the two pieces apart.
You might be able to salvage it.

Both the parts actually stick to head, so i think not taking the protective backing paper off of the sticky bit may help, just dont stick it to the head, then it should be fine, or a lot easier anyways :p

Good point actually, they do look pretty darn strong  I have one, and it's great, but ye, I think making your own or just buying a new one is easier than trying to reuse it.
